Custom Back Chamfer Cutter

While back chamfer mills and dovetail cutters share a similar appearance, their cutting end designs and applications differ. Back chamfer mills are typically used to create chamfers (beveled edges) on the bottom edges of features like steps, slots, and holes, often without needing to reposition the workpiece for a clean finish.

Custom Chamfer Cutter Reference
Chamfer Angle: Select a fixed angle according to your drawing requirements.
Diameter and Number of Flutes:
- Diameter: Typically 1.5-2 times the chamfer width (e.g., for a 3mm chamfer width, select a tool with a diameter of 4.5-6mm).
- Number of Flutes: For rough machining, choose 2-3 flutes; for finishing, choose 3-4 flutes.
Recommended Cutting Parameters:
- Spindle Speed (S):
- Aluminum Alloy: 2000-4000 rpm
- Steel/Cast Iron: 500-1500 rpm
- Titanium Alloy: 300-800 rpm
- Feed Rate (F): 0.05-0.3 mm/tooth (use smaller values for harder materials).
- Axial Depth of Cut (ap): Single feed ≤1mm (use multiple passes to avoid overloading).
