Chamfer Angle: Select a fixed angle according to your drawing requirements.

Diameter and Number of Flutes:

  • Diameter: Typically 1.5-2 times the chamfer width (e.g., for a 3mm chamfer width, select a tool with a diameter of 4.5-6mm).
  • Number of Flutes: For rough machining, choose 2-3 flutes; for finishing, choose 3-4 flutes.

Recommended Cutting Parameters:

  • Spindle Speed (S):
    • Aluminum Alloy: 2000-4000 rpm
    • Steel/Cast Iron: 500-1500 rpm
    • Titanium Alloy: 300-800 rpm
  • Feed Rate (F): 0.05-0.3 mm/tooth (use smaller values for harder materials).
  • Axial Depth of Cut (ap): Single feed ≤1mm (use multiple passes to avoid overloading).
