Custom Standard Ball Nose End Mill
Ball end mills are designed for 3D surface machining and complex contours such as mold cavities, impeller blades, turbine disks, and other intricate surface machining. Their hemispherical cutting edges can achieve smooth three-dimensional surface machining and are widely used in a variety of industries. ZLY Cutting Tools can design the ball end mill according to your workpiece.

Custom Ball Nose End Mill Reference
Cut size: ZLY can machine ball end mills with cutting end diameters ranging from 0.2 mm to 32 mm.
Cutting Edge Configurations:
- 1 Flute: Suitable for machining plastic, acrylic, and other materials.
- 2-3 Flutes: Large chip holding groove. Suitable for processing softer metals and non-ferrous metals under large cutting and high feed conditions.
- 4 Flutes: The most widely used, offering a balance of processing efficiency and good chip removal performance.
- More than 5 Flutes: For high-precision machining of hard materials.
Effective Cutting Length: A longer cutting end on a square end mill can lead to increased runout during use.
Suggestion: For heavy-duty cutting and high-efficiency cutting, it is recommended to choose a toolholder with strong clamping force, such as a strong toolholder or a heat shrinkable toolholder. The clamping length should be as short as possible, as an excessively long clamping length can easily produce vibration, interference, and even tool breakage.
